  1. National Museum of Anthropology and History. One of the most visited and beautiful of this city. It exhibits about 600,000 pieces of the main pre-Hispanic cultures (Mayas, Aztecs, Olmecs, etc.) from all over the country. Distributed in 10 ethnographic rooms that show the natural and economic environment, their gods, their development of knowledge (mathematics, writing, etc.), their history and their cultural stages. It is located north of the Chapultepec Park.

  1. Museo Jumex. Located west of the city in the Polanco area. This is a museum that displays interesting pieces of contemporary art with works by world-class artists such as Andy Warhol, Gabriel Orozco and many more. They have temporary exhibitions.

  1. Soumaya Museum. A few steps from the Jumex Museum is a building of impressive architecture, unique in its kind that houses a large collection of works of art distributed in six levels. You will find incredible pieces of decorative arts, gold and silver coins, antique banknotes, works of New Spanish and European masters. As well as beautiful pieces in ivory and other oriental articles. Art in its best expression, movements, and trends. It has a temporary exhibition hall.

Also in the historic center, this museum displays a wide variety of pieces ranging from the impressive, mythical, and colorful alebrijes (eccentric and whimsical figures that are the product of the imagination of artisans), traditional toys, piñatas, as well as textiles and pieces of glass and ceramics.

  1. Frida Kahlo Museum. Now to the south of the city we find La Casa Azul, so called because of the beautiful cobalt blue tone of its construction. 10. The Museo del Tiempo Tlalpan A. C. Is a unique museum that exhibits clocks, musical devices and other timekeeping instruments and devices, some of which are centuries old. The museum strives to preserve the history of time itself and its measurement throughout history and the best part is that all the objects on display are still functional, from clocks to music boxes, phonographs, and record machines. A small treasure to discover in Tlalpan in the south of the city.
