The monument itself stands 20 meters from foot to head and 80 tons weight. It is in the ‘cerro del Cubilete’, which is considered the geographic center of the country of Mexico.

Other interesting places are the Parroquia de Santiago Apóstol, construction was started in the end of the 17th century and ended in the year 1728. Its style is neo-classical and Templo del Santuario, constructed at the end of the 17th century.

Jose and Tomas Chavez Morado Museum. Dedicated to the local muralist and sculptors since 1999 this museum has a permanent exhibition of the legacy of these Mexican artists. The Expo Bicentenario is an interesting cultural place where local artists show their work of sculptures and paintings.
